DAY TO DAY ITINERARY
Embark on a captivating journey with our day-to-day itinerary, revealing a seamless blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation from start to finish.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport with your flight, meet and greet your driver and begin transfer to your hotel in Arusha (approx. 1hr drives) for your stay

After early breakfast, checkout and depart to Lemosho Gate approx. 3hrs drive. After registration continue on a 4x4 track till the trail head where you begin your trek through the rain forest zone with your guide. The forest is thick and diverse with flora and fauna. Move through a short and winding path to the first camp.

Mti Mkubwa Camp (2780m or 912ft)
Breakfast, checkout and leave the forest zone on a steep path as the dense vegetation slowly eases into the Heather and Moorland zone. The remainder of the day takes you on a steady hike across the Shira ridge where view of Shira peak (the third of the Kilimanjaro’s volcanic canes) gives you the spectacular jagged scenery of this eroded peak.

Shira One Camp (3505m or 11500ft).
After early breakfast, proceed with your hike gradually across the Shira plateau within the heather and moorland with a picnic lunch, you can opt for an extra hike to the Shira Cathedral Peak (3880m) before taking you gradually to Shira two Camp. Shira will offer you the western view of Kibo, the highest of the peaks and your final destination on the tour.

After early breakfast, take a steady pace across the edges of heather and moorland with a picnic lunch then into the alpine desert towards the northern Kilimanjaro area. If you fitness is high enough you can take an optional detour via the Lava Tower Camp which is great for acclimatization.

Moir Hut Camp (4140m or 13585ft).
After early breakfast, leave behind the Moir valley and trek on a relatively steep path to the summit Lent Hills with a picnic lunch before circling around the north of Kibo cone into the Alpine desert, enjoy this remote part of the mountain with unique scenery of the Northern Kilimanjaro Peak and the Kenyan plains below.

Buffalo Pofu Camp (4030m or 13220ft)
After early breakfast, your final day on the northern circuit bypass take you through the remote mountain wilderness of the North which is probably the least used trail on Killi. Your hike takes you back out of the alpine desert through the Buffalo ridge and the remote valleys until the drier heather and moorland area around the Third Cave Camp.

Early breakfast and hike with a picnic lunch towards the Kibo cone, steadily climb up and over the edges of the alpine desert journeying on the edges of the Kibo saddle. Spend your time resting at the camp summit while preparing for summit attempt tonight.

School Hut Camp (4715m or 15470ft)
Early morning around 00:00am begin your final ascent to the summit of Uhuru peak through the arctic zone. The trek is steep hike over loose volcanic scree through the dark and cold night and takes a slow pace in a zig -zag pattern towards a Gillman’s point (5681m or 18640ft) which is the first stop on the Kibo crater rim. From here hike takes you to past Stella point and further around till Uhuru peak (5895m or 19341ft), the highest point in Africa. Spend a little time at the peak due to extreme altitude and descend down via Stella point until the Southern circuit base Camp (Barafu) for your recovery meal. After a recovery meal continue the descent through the alpine desert, heather and moorland and until the rainforest where you stop for the night.

Mweka Camp (3080m or 10105ft)
Early breakfast, checkout from the camp and descent through the southern rain forest until Mweka gate. At arrival meet your driver with a safari vehicle and begin your transfer back to Arusha approx. 3hrs drives. Arrive in Arusha and drop off to your hotel for stay.
