Your Guide to a Seamless Journey with Kearsley Travel

A holiday in East Africa is a thrilling experience, and guests are expected to travel open-mindedly and dive into the adventure. To make sure you spend quality time while here and travel stress-free, we have laid down some important information to consider when booking your safari, mountain climbing, or beach vacation.

Your choice of accommodation is subject to availability, and your confirmation is sensitive during the peak travel season. If your preferred hotel, lodge, or resort is unavailable at the time of payment, we will look for the second-best alternative, which may vary in cost and location.

Bookings made during Easter, Christmas, and New Year incur an extra cost and will be indicated as supplements. Please check with our dedicated agent while making the payment.

The rates quoted are subject to change with an increase in the park fees, fuel prices, taxes, vat, third-party amendments, or any circumstances beyond our control. Any changes in your flight timings, connections, or cancellations should be communicated to Kearsley Travel immediately, and any additional costs incurred while amending hotel bookings, activities, excursions, etc. will be borne by you/ travelers.

Kearsley Tours should be informed at least 14 days in advance for amendments in the itinerary, such as the extension of stay, adding excursions, etc, all of which are subject to availability.

An invoice will be generated for all confirmed bookings and payments must be done as indicated in writing on or before the due date. Kearsley Tours reserves the right to cancel any booking if payments are not made on time.

We only accept bookings in writing by email and require a 50% deposit to confirm your books, and the remaining 50% will be done 30 days before your arrival.

The following payment options are available for your booking confirmation.

  • Visa Card
  • Amex
  • Mastercard
  • Bank Transfers
  • Wire transfer

Transfer charges done by card/ wire/ bank are 100% borne by you/ travelers.

Kearsley Travel will retain funds in case of any booking cancellations (to be done in writing) upon confirmation and payment, and refunds will be subject to the following:

Children must always travel under the supervision of their parents or adults during their stay in Tanzania or other holiday destinations booked with Kearsley Travel.

Every hotel/ accommodation differs in their pricing for children, and generally, children under the age of 12 sharing a room with two adults, pay 50-70% of the accommodation rate. The same applies to excursions such as a walking safari, a hot-air balloon ride, etc.

Select hotels, lodges, camps, and resorts do not allow children below seven years. Kindly indicate the age of your children to our tour consultant while making your bookings/ discussing your itinerary.

We cater to varied dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, kosher meals, etc. Any dietary requirement must be communicated to Kearsley Travel while making your bookings.

While booking a holiday in East Africa, you need to be mindful of your baggage. If you are booking a flying safari package, you will be allowed to carry only 15 kg. Similarly, a mountain climbing trip requires you to carry the necessary baggage and leave all your additional luggage at the hotel.

Shall you have excessive luggage, you will be allowed to keep it at the hotel/ our offices. Kindly note Kearsleys Travel is not responsible for any missing items or damage done to your belongings.

Luggage that is lost or delayed by the airline often causes a disturbance during your planned tour. We will do our best to help you if such a situation may occur. However, we strongly advise you: to arrive two or three days before the tour, and carry your essential travel luggage, such as walking boots, mediate, etc in your hand luggage.

Any additional cost incurred for the baggage transfer will be borne by the traveler and needs to be paid locally. Due to your prior bookings, no changes can be made to your itinerary, and cancellation charges will apply where need be.

Kearsley Travels recommends you take full insurance while booking your holiday to East Africa to cover you against accidents, cancellations, lost baggage, health emergency, natural disaster, strikes, etc. We will not accept/ bear any liability due to injuries, damages, losses, or negligence of the client/ staff or service provider.
