Gombe is most famous for its chimpanzee population. It was in this park that Dr. Jane Goodall conducted her groundbreaking research on chimpanzees, providing valuable insights into their social behavior and interactions. Besides chimpanzees, the park is also home to other primate species, including olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and blue monkeys.
