Lake Natron Camp
Lake Natron Camp
Moivaro Lodges and Camp
Wild and remote, Lake Natron Camp is located in the northeast of Tanzania, between the Ngorongoro Highlands and the Serengeti plains. This stunning landscape is defined by its haunting beauty and the arid surroundings inhabited by the Maasai people. At the base of Oldonyo Lengai, Africa's only active volcano, lies Lake Natron, one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. The lake is home to millions of tiny crustaceans, attracting thousands of lesser flamingos, making it one of the world’s most important flamingo breeding grounds. Set in a grove of trees slightly removed from the lake’s dusty terrain, Lake Natron Tented Camp offers clean, comfortable safari tents with private verandas, hot showers, and serene views. After a day of exploring or climbing, guests can relax with a cold drink at the fully stocked bar and enjoy a candlelit meal at the camp’s restaurant.
